The second cohort of Every Child Counts Inc. scholarship program has been launched. The year 2024 marked a transformative period for these pupils as they were selected for a prestigious scholarship program that would change their lives forever.
Among the 34 pupils chosen as beneficiaries, there were 12 pupils from Kanjeru Primary School, Kiambu County, 10 pupils from Waitua Primary School, 6 pupils from St. Annes Kennol Schools, Murang’a County, and 6 pupils from Senior Chief Mutunkei Primary in Kajiado county. Despite facing numerous challenges and coming from humble backgrounds, these students excelled academically, scoring an impressive 300 marks and above in their K.C.P.E examinations. Their dreams of pursuing higher education seemed distant until the scholarship program opened doors that were previously closed.
The impact of the 2024 scholarship program extended far beyond academic success. It catalyzed change, empowering these pupils to break free from the cycle of poverty and reach a brighter future. With financial barriers lifted, they could focus wholeheartedly on their studies, explore their passions, and confidently pursue their career aspirations.
