School Feeding Program
KIMAP supports school feeding programs in multiple schools, ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds receive nutritious meals. This program helps to improve school attendance, concentration, and overall academic performance. Schools currently benefiting include Kanjeru Primary, Senior Chief Mutunkei Primary, Waitua Primary, and St. Anne’s. Meals provided range from whole meal breakfast to balanced lunch options.
Scholarship Program
KIMAP offers scholarships to bright but needy students to help them access quality education. The scholarship program benefited 66 pupils who scored 300 marks and above in their KCPE exams. The program provides tuition fees, school supplies, and mentorship to ensure that students succeed academically.
Infrastructure Development
KIMAP is actively involved in improving school facilities to create a better learning environment. Projects include:
The construction of a new ablution block at Mutunkei Primary School to address hygiene concerns.
The building of a classroom block at Waitua Primary School helps reduce congestion and supports JSS students. The curtains and beds project for the Russ Playford special needs block at Kanjeru Primary School.
Water Supply Program
KIMAP has undertaken a water project that supplies clean water to Senior Chief Mutunkei Primary School and St. Anne’s Primary School twice a month. We have also delivered storage water tanks to St Anne’s Primary School. This initiative ensures that students and staff have access to safe drinking water, improving hygiene and reducing waterborne diseases.
Special Needs Support
KIMAP provides targeted assistance to children with special needs. At Kanjeru Primary School, a special needs block has been equipped with the necessary resources, including dormitory improvements and better classroom facilities. This program ensures inclusivity and better learning conditions for children with disabilities.
Mentorship & Career Guidance
KIMAP conducts mentorship sessions for scholarship beneficiaries and other students, guiding them in career choices and personal development. The organization keeps track of the student’s academic progress and provides necessary interventions to ensure they excel.
